I thought The Milk of Sorrow was very good. We are incredibly privileged to live in Norway and seeing the everyday lives of others does us good. This year’s programme lives up to my expectations. It has a wide range. You’ll find socially engaging films and films about dreams and conflict. I especially look forward to attending The Critical Room.

Maria Chenk

The Milk of Sorrow was original. It is wonderful to see something that is not Hollywood-inspired. The theme was also important, because women’s fear of being raped is real. The cinematography was also very good. I look forward to see more films. I have great expectations for the Iranian and Mexican films. Last year I saw about twenty films so I guess I have to try to see as many this year.

Victoria Castillo

It was a colorful opening film. The Milk of Sorrow shows us another part of the world. There are a lot of films in this year’s programme I want to catch. I especially look forward to the films by Carlos Reygadas. He is provocative and his films are always very surprising.

Øystein Bolstad Jensen

The Milk of Sorrow was a very different film compared to what I’m used to see. Slower. The theme was powerful but there was little action, as I see it. The music and cinematography were great and it had powerful performances. I look forward to see more films. This year’s programme is exciting, especially The Window, which I have great expectations for.

Tore Martin Herland

The opening film was powerful. We got an insight into Peruvian family relationships. Now I just hope I’ll have time to see more films. Mali is a country I know well, I have lived there for two years, so I guess at least I have to see Tropical House.
