30 minutes on happiness
Between screenings of WISDOM OF HAPPINESS and AGENT OF HAPPINESS, we invite you to a discussion on happiness, different understandings of happiness, and Gross National Happiness.
- Date: 10.11.24
- Time: 17:30
- Venue: Vikakjelleren
- Language: Norwegian
What does it mean to measure Gross National Happiness? What can a 90-year-old religious leader in exile from his homeland teach us about happiness? What can we learn about happiness in our own lives by exploring how people on the other side of the globe strive to achieve happiness? These and other questions will be explored in this discussion.
Panel participants:
- Ragnhild Bang Nes, happiness researcher at FHI
- Kouame Sereba, vocal artist, multi-instrumentalist, Buddhist, and eternal optimist
- The discussion will be led by Alexander Hellstenius, culture worker and intern at the Festival Office
Be sure to catch both films to get the most out of these reflections on happiness! WISDOM OF HAPPINESS will be screened at 15:45 in Vika 1, and AGENT OF HAPPINESS will be screened at 18:15 in Vika 1.
