With a recent award for Best International Documentary from the prestigious documentary film festival Hot Docs for her latest documentary, FARMING THE REVOLUTION, Nisththa Jain confirms her position as one of the most important documentary filmmakers of our time.
Her documentaries explore the political within the personal, whether in a domestic setting, a photo studio, or a protest march. The working class is often at the center, and she portrays individuals and small communities with dignity and relevance.
Karsten Meinich from the website Montages will moderate a director’s talk with her after the screening of THE GOLDEN THREAD.
