November 14, CINEMA TEHRAN, OSLO, in collaboration with Film fra Sør, will present the award-winning film MY FAVOURITE CAKE at Vega Scene.

Before the screening, warm Iranian food will be served, prepared by Persia Restaurant, who have proudly provided authentic Iranian dishes to Oslo residents for decades. The event will offer two different dishes with a vegetarian option: Ghormeh Sabzi (also spelled qormeh sabzi), a popular Iranian herb stew considered the national dish of Iran, and Lubia Polo, an Iranian dish of rice, green beans, and beef or lamb. In Persian, loobia means bean, and polo refers to a style of cooked rice, known as pilaf in English. Learn more about Persia Restaurant here: https://www.persiarestaurant.no.

ABOUT THE FILM:

Mahin is a 70-year-old widow, determined to revive her love life. A chance encounter with a man leads to an unforgettable night.

Though in her seventies, Mahin defies the expectations for a woman of her age. She sleeps till noon and starts her day with tea and cigarettes. However, she must also face the reality of living in a body that doesn’t entirely match how she feels. Living in a country less free than it once was, she meets an older taxi driver named Faramarz, and sparks fly between them.

A Small Piece of Cake premiered at the Berlin Film Festival, where it won two awards.
