How does one make family life work? What do you tell the children? How can one learn to accept that people have different experiences of the situation and, most importantly, how do you find hope when living in a prolonged state of emergency?

About the film:
In this moving documentary, directed by Emilie Adelina Monies and Roja Pakari, the camera is turned on themselves. The Danish-Iranian director Roja has become pregnant and been diagnosed with incurable bone marrow cancer. This is her journey over six years. She not only fights against her frailty but also strives for an ordinary life, wanting to live it in all its usual rhythms. The film delves into her Iranian heritage and family background, which opened a new chapter when her politically engaged parents fled Iran and ended up in Denmark. This is a deeply personal film, where she wants to give everything to her young son Oskar. A sad (but also somewhat hopeful) story about a mother's love for her son and her original background.
The event is organized in collaboration with the Norwegian Cancer Society.
