Special screening Lagaan

Welcome to a special screening of the modern indian classic LAGAAN at Cinemateket on the 11th of November, at 18:00!

Program: 
The vocalist, multiinstrumentalist and film composer Tejaswinee Kelkar opens the night by performing an exciting soundscape inspired by the film. After this Kelkar will sit down with culture minister Lubna Bobby Jaffery to talk about the film. At about two hours into the movie, there will be a 20 minutes long break. 

In connection with the event, the Historical Museum will display a showcase on the 2nd floor of the Cinemateket featuring a Banam instrument from the Santal community in India. The Banam instrument offers a small glimpse into the exhibition Heritage – Our Place in History at the Historical Museum.
