Happy Together

Ho and Lai, a gay couple, breaks -up on their way to the famous Iguazu falls. Lai gets a job at a tango bar in Buenos Aires, where he one day sees his ex-lover in the arms of a rich American. They decide to give their relationship another go, something that is doomed to fail, and they end up going their separate ways again. A poetic and melancholic story about love and lost love. Happy Together is without doubt one of the most beautiful films screened in Norwegian cinemas the last couple of years. This is a simple, but touching and delicate story, made wonderful through Christopher Doyle's almost painfully exquisite photography, and Victor Piazzolas melancholic seductive tango.
