Nora's Will

José and Nora have been divorced for twenty years, yet live right across the street from each other. When he pays her a visit to return a loan right before Passover, he discovers that she has downed three bottles of tranquilisers – the last of her many suicide attempts. Nonetheless, she has planned the celebration of Passover in detail, leaving intricate instructions for everyone invited. What Nora did not anticipate is the conflict that starts to brew between the godless José and the family Rabbi. Her controversial death and following burial result in a flood of awkward interactions so tragic they become comical. hh
