Although Invisible is only his second feature film, one can already see a peculiar Pablo Giorgelli style of cinema. He shows real people who experience real problems. The takes are long, with no musical score. The story progresses in a slow pace, but never without a tangible intensity. Moreover, the naturalistic acting can sometimes give the impression that we are watching a documentary film.

The film's protagonist is 17 year-old Ely. Besides her tiring school day, she works part-time at a veterinary. She lives with her depressed mother, who even can’t manage to leave the apartment. When Ely gets pregnant after an affair with a married colleague, she deals with it in same way as with everything in her life, with a laconic indifference. Besides a friend, no one knows about the pregnancy, and an abortion seems inevitable. But abortions are forbidden in Argentina, and getting one performed is really difficult. Eventually, Ely finds her choice to be less obvious than she initially believed. Jon Sæter
