Seven years after this statement – with the 2020 Silver Mirror winner There Is No Evil and the Cannes Jury Special Prize winner The Seed of the Sacred Fig in 2024 – he is our main focus once again.
In a year when he presents his new film while going into exile in Germany, we are awarding him the Silver Mirror Honorary Award 2024. This honorary award goes to a director who fights for the freedom to make films and protests against an oppressive regime, wielding the camera as a weapon.
